Happy New Year! After a short term hiatus to focus on an exciting writing opportunity, I'm back in business here! It's now 2025, and as I flipped my calendar's pages I stared in disbelief. I couldn't believe it was 2025- I also knew it would be a year of new releases, new tours, and new adventures.
Facing the music that it is 2025 is throwing me into a haze. It's hard to believe that I am living in 2025, a year so close and still so futuristic sounding. We are in modern times, after all, and when I think of how music production has evolved over the year it still sends me through a wave of amazement that musicians went from small sized studios to recording music on a computer. Who knows what music will sound like in 2030. I'm excited to find out!
One thing I am looking most forward to this year is making more memories with live music. The shows I enjoy most are the small bar shows on a Friday night. I plan on attending more of those this year, in addition to increasing my listening stats. I know a lot of people like Spotify, and it is my go to for discovering new music. One thing that hasn't changed is my love of country music. I always look for new playlists on Spotify and add them to my library- helps me stay organized if I'm in a rush.
I know that the year is only beginning, and everything is figure-out-able. My goals for this year are simple: to grow as a person and a professional. Music will get me through for sure, like it always has!
