*Early Life*
James Andrew Cox is an American music producer-guitarist was born on January 5th ,1980 in Austin ,Texas , United States. As the son of a retired U.S. Air Force colonel, James had the opportunity to live in various locations, including the Philippines and multiple military bases across the southeastern United States. These frequent moves allowed him to meet diverse people and gain invaluable life experiences, shaping his worldview. Living with cerebral palsy since birth, James has always sought to challenge societal expectations of individuals with disabilities. He believes that his disability does not define who he is, and he strives to live independently and lead a fulfilling life. After moving out of Sumter, South Carolina, James has lived on his own for over eight years, realizing his lifelong goal of living autonomously and thriving despite his condition.

*Career*

James Cox has led a diverse and impactful career, contributing in multiple fields. His professional experience includes working in the restaurant industry, at a college, and in two libraries. These roles have honed his skills in communication, problem-solving, and customer service. In addition to his work experience, James has been an advocate for disability rights and inclusion.

 

He has served as a keynote speaker and master of ceremonies at Disability Advocacy Day, inspiring others to overcome challenges and embrace their potential. In 2024, he was honored with the prestigious Marquis Who's Who Award, recognizing his contributions to the disability community and his leadership in advocating for equality and access. In February 2020, James co-founded the podcast When Words Fail, Music Speaks alongside his co-host Blake Moseley.

 

The podcast focuses on the therapeutic benefits of music for mental health, particularly its ability to help people cope with depression and anxiety. With over 20,000 downloads as of January 2025, the podcast has become a valuable resource for listeners seeking emotional healing and personal growth through the power of music.

 

James has always wanted to release music on his own. He has taken guitar lesson at the age of 16 Although he isn't fluent on the guitar, he is a music producer since January 2025, he reaches out to bands he has become friends with to collaborate with to create covers of songs he has grown up with. Becoming a music producer he aims to be one of the top music producers ever, so bands would want to work with him.
